With an eventful past week full of Spider-Man drama between the Sony and Marvel split up the week came to an end with a lot of happy news coming from Disney's D23 Expo where fans had the chance to see first hand what's coming to the new Disney streaming service later this year.
With a much-needed surprise from Kevin Feige who took the stage to announce not just the already known shows but a number of new upcoming Marvel TV shows that will feature characters never before seen on the small screen.
The following series were announced by Disney at D23 Expo:
Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel is the fourth ever character to take up the mantle of Ms. Marvel but the first-ever Muslim to headline her own comic in the Marvel Universe. Kamala Khan first appeared in the(November 2013) as a Pakistani-American teenager who idolizes Carol Danvers.
She-Hulk aka Jennifer Walters has been around since the 80s making her first appearance inback in February 1980. Jennifer Walters received a blood transfusion from her cousin, Bruce Banner, after an accident which turned her into a mild version of Hulk. She can retain her emotions and intelligence while turned into the She-Hulk. Spoiler Alert her transformation is permanent in later comics.
Moon Knight aka Marc Spector has been around since 1975, when he first appeared in, he has been ranked as one of the best comic characters of all times and IGN stated that "the Moon Knight is more or less the concept of what would happen if the Batman were to suffer a multiple personality disorder".
More than that Marvel Fans were able to meet and hear their favorite characters from the MCU on the panels of D23 such as Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan appearing on stage to talk about the upcoming series "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier" with director Kari Skogland and writer Malcolm Spellman and Kevin Feige. While also get surprised by the appearance of Emily VanCamp who is going to reprise her role as Sharon Carter and Wyatt Russell who is going to portray John Walker aka U.S. Agent in the upcoming Disney+ series.
The excitement did not stop there since fans had the chance to see the stars of what it seems to be one of the fans favorite "WandaVision" live on stage. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany joined by Kat Dennings, as seen in Marvel Studios' "Thor", and Randall Park, as seen in Marvel Studios' "Ant-Man and the Wasp" discussed the upcoming series with Matt Shakman and head writer Jac Schaeffer and shed some light at what fans should expect from the series that will launch on Disney+ in 2021.
